The left has, once again, employed fear and intimidation in an attempt to silence conservative voices. A candidate for U. S. Senate in Washington State had planned a meet and greet at a local hotel in Kennewick for this Saturday. He has been the subject of yet another threatening campaign by those on the left, and those who align with them and use lawless tactics.

They mounted a campaign to call the hotel, and the hotel's owners, with lies about the candidate, including threats and intimidation should the hotel host the candidate.

This is the same group who threatened the Portland Rose Parade last year with violence and forced its cancellation.

They have a group of people who use fake profiles and phony phone numbers to make the more serious threats. A great many do not even live in Washington State. They believe in silencing and intimidating those they disagree with instead of holding vigorous debate.

To a hotel front desk clerk or building owner who does not know their MO, it can be quite frightening, which of course, is their goal.

It is also a federal offense.

18 U.S. Code § 1951 - Interference with commerce by threats or violence

Whoever in any way or degree obstructs, delays, or affects commerce or the movement of any article or commodity in commerce, by robbery or extortion or attempts or conspires so to do, or commits or threatens physical violence to any person or property in furtherance of a plan or purpose to do anything in violation of this section shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Candidate Gibson, who has had his tires slashed repeatedly, his family threatened and has dealt with this behavior for over a year, says "We are still coming! We will NOT let them intimidate us or stop us with their lies and threats. Liberty, Justice and Freedom are more than just words on paper. We need to stand up to this intimidation or more and more of our freedoms will soon be lost.”

The meeting is still on! 11-2 pm on Saturday in the Tri-Cities area. John Dam Plaza 815 George Washington Way Richland near HAPO stage. Candidate Gibson and the Campaign can also be reached there for comment or interviews.
